I have been a visiting Ph.D. student with the Robotics and Perception Group led by Prof. Davide Scaramuzza from November 2012 to March 2014. From October 2010 to March 2014, I have been Ph.D. candiate at the Max Planck Institut for Biological Cybernetics in Tuebingen, Germany, in Dr. Antonio Franchi's Autonomous Robotics and Human-Machine Systems Group under the joint supervision of Dr. Paolo Robuffo Giordano and Prof. Davide Scaramuzza. As a member of the Robotics and Perception Group, I was working on the perception of independently acting quadrotor UAVs using onboard sensors and processing power. In a second project, I addressed the localization of one sensor (e.g. a camera) with respect to a map created by a different sensor (e.g. an RGBD sensor). I received my PhD degree in computer science from the Univeristy of Tuebingen in March 2014. Please contact me for a full CV and see my website at the MPI for a description of my research projects.
